Les-
I am very interested in starting a dialogue with you regarding the new research on Periphrial Neuropathies. I suffer myself and am curious that you have been able to stop the spread at your toes. I was diagnosed about a year ago and the neuropathy has spread up almost to the knees and within the last month has begun to attack my hands.
Trying to sleep in an absolute horror. I am on pain medication to no avail...my feet cramp and curl under at night and my hands are starting to cramp and curl as well. I am not diabetic, and thus far have kept my reflexes...which baffles the doctors.
Point me in the right direction. Every thing I have read spews the same information and has been totally unhelpful. I would be very grateful if you could help me find a nights peace from the pain.

Hi---
I'm not sure to whom this question is directed, but I have taken Neurontin for neurological pain (burning sensations, sharp pains, tingling, etc.) and it has worked for me. At one point I was suffering from muscle spasms and Baclofen (a muscle relaxer) helped quite a bit.

Hi!,I just joined in...I also had terrible spasms & leg jerking etc...like one of the other members mentioned, Mirapex is great for the "jerking" when lying down..Also, I have been having botox injections in my feet& calves every 3 months which has made a HUGE difference! the spasms have nearly stopped and the pain is far, far less...hope this helps!

I haven't found anything yet to help with my numbness, tingling, almost electric feeling that goes through my body, I have Fibromyalgia and restless leg syndrom, and Pseudo tumor cerebri, so I hope one day I get something that will help... thanks.. J

A good medication for neuropathy--- the tingling, numbness, and burning---- is Neurontin. It's approved for this, and you should be able to get a script from your doctor.
