» bleu30 - caregivers having a voice

I think that it is time that all caregivers across the board realized that they had a voice. And used it to further their opportunities. I am a caregiver. And I truly do understand what it means to be alone and misunderstood. I have been taking care of my mother-in-law for 10 long wonderful years. But it has been a struggle. She has had a broken hip, several tias, and a stroke, and most recently the flu, a deep vein thrombosis (clot in leg), a bed sore, and acute onset of congestive heart failure. All of this while having her pacemaker monitored for replacement (which will be her third. I have created an organization to support family members, caregivers, home health aides, and nurse aides across Texas and beyond. I want everyone to take a look at it and respond to it. The time has come for people across this great nation to realize who keeps this country running. If it weren't for the people taking care of the sick, dying, and the elderly then where would we be. I mean even the President of the United States needs one every now and then. Think about it. Please leave a message in the guest book (public viewing) or send an email directly to me (private for my eyes only). I would like to hear from anyone at anytime. The website is as follows: www.tachp.org. Thanks!!!
